End Of The World Predictions

Well we all know that this 2005 Hurricane Season is a complete and utter disaster and we know that the NOAA weather science forecaster got it right. They upgraded their predictions for Atlantic side Hurricanes to 18-21 Tropical Named Storms, with 9 to 11 Hurricanes and of those Hurricanes 5-7 would be Category III or higher. They predicted a double the normal amount of named storms for the 2005 Hurricane. They have upgraded their predictions at the end of July. Is it time to upgrade those predictions again? Hurricane Season started 2-weeks early this year, will it end two weeks late too?

Well what does the scoreboard say so far? For Tropical depressions there were; Cindy and Lee; but for Tropical Storms well we have had a number of tropical storms for instance Arlene, Bret, Franklin, Gert, Harvey and Jose. But Hurricanes have been numerous indeed.

Hurricane Dennis arrived on July fifth and hit Penascola July 10 and Emily hit the Yucatan Pennisula on July 20 as a Hurricane. Irene was no fun, but did not do a lot of damage, never made landfall, but the next Hurricane did, Katrina, which was one of the four most powerful Category V Hurricanes ever to hit the United States, literally destroying the Gulf Coast. We still do not know how many people it has killed. Then Hurricane Maria, which never touched a sole and went from back and forth from Hurricane to Tropical storm, same with Hurricane Nate. Of course Ophelia, sat off the coast eroding seashores and threatening our nation like an International Terrorist, then disappeared into the Atlantic. Then Hurricane Philippe, which paralleled the coastline threatening to turn in for attack. And we will never forget Hurricane Rita, like her sister Katrina, made the top five list of the worst Hurricanes to ever hit the United States.

It looks as if we have maxed out on Hurricanes and are four storms away from hitting all the NOAA worst case scenario predictions, thus indeed, it is time to upgrade the predictions once more, as this Hurricane Season goes into overtime. Think on it.
