Hurricane Predictions

In 2005 we watched in awe as NASA Satellite Photos showed us the approaching Hurricanes many days before landfall. We watched how accurate they were with regards to where they would actually hit as meteorologists explained the complexity of the computer generated predictions.

NOAA scientists and experts provided us with real time data from the Hurricane Hunters, an Air Force Squadron, which purposely flew aircraft into these monster storms. We learned of buoys in the Gulf, which told us of water surface temperatures and how that related to the driven hear of the Hurricanes Engines.

We saw 3D and 4D graphics of they Hurricane and how each storm cell moved ashore in waves. We watched the President of the United States get on National Television and warn citizens to get out 36-hours before Hurricane Katrina and Rita hit. We had plenty warning thru Hurricane Modeling and data flows, with super computer predictions using the latest in artificial intelligence designed by the top scientific minds of our time.

We watched the Weather Channel following the flare ups of precipitation and storms move off the coast of Africa towards the Caribbean and many times in the season grow from low pressure areas to tropical depressions, to tropical storms and into Hurricanes.

As scientists study and learn more they will be better able to predict when and where they will hit sooner, thus saving lives. This trend thru the 2006 Tropical Hurricane Season as we continue to better understand the extreme weather patterns and forces of Mother Nature. Think on this.
